Who Are Today's Religious?

Today’s religious are men and women who seek a deeper, more meaningful relationship with God through living and working in community, prayer and contemplation, and service to their fellow humans.

They are pastoral ministers, spiritual directors, nurses and doctors, educators at all levels and in all disciplines, lawyers, social workers, counselors.

Becoming a vowed religious today is the beginning of a lifelong spiritual adventure, as well as a commitment to seek God in the world in which they live.
